Chuckles The Clown Va. And Maryland

Chuckles came into our local McDonalds yesterday afternoon. He sat near us and told us about himself and gave us his card. He does balloon tricks and magic tricks and other things. Does mostly children's parties and birthday parties and such. Maybe he thought he would run into Ronald McDonald while he was there.
Ronald McDonald came by once but that was months ago.

He says he makes good money on weekends being Chuckles.
Here are two reviews of his act.
http://www.gigsalad.com/chuckles_the_clown_rockville

It was nice to meet this Chuckles. He seemed like a nice guy.
He said you know why bears won't eat clowns?
Because they think they taste funny.

Apparently there are many other Chuckles all around the USA.
I searched on the web for Chuckles The Clown and found one in Alabama and one in Illinois and one in Connecticut.

There is something scary about clowns. If I was a small child I would be scared of clowns. Not if they were far away like in the circus but up close they would be frightening.

I remember a Seinfeld episode where crazy Joe Davola was a scary clown from the opera.

There was a Chuckles the Clown on The Mary Tyler Moore Show(according to my search)but I never watched The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Stan Musial 1954 Red Heart Dog Food Baseball Card

When we lived in Kirbyville, Texas in 1954 I was seriously collecting baseball cards. I was 14 years old at the time. That year there was no Topps Stan Musial baseball card. In order to get a Stan Musial baseball card that year you had to get it from Red Heart Dog Food. I remember getting the cans of Red Heart Dog Food. I think you had to send in so many Red Heart Dog Food Wrappers to get their cards. In any event I got the Stan Musial Red Heart Dog Food Card like the one shown in the picture above. He must have signed an exclusive contract that year with Red Heart Dog Food. Read about the Red heart Dog Food set in the link below. http://www.psacard.com/articles/article_view.chtml?artid=4617&type=1

Fish And Wildlife Cop Writing Speeding Tickets At The Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge On Sanibel Island

Does the above look like a place someone would write a speeding ticket at 7am when the place was empty?

There is a new Fish And Wildlife cop writing tickets in the Refuge. He sets up early. Like 7am on Sat. when there is almost no one in the Wildlife Refuge and gives out tickets for speeding and not wearing seatbelts. That includes children who must climb in and out of vehicles on many occasions to view the birds.
http://www.fws.gov/dingdarling/
The speed limit is 15 miles per hour in the Refuge.  27 miles an hour on his speed gun will get you a ticket. He sets up in his pickup facing the wrong way on a long open back stretch.

Watch out for him. He doesnt issue warnings.  There have been several complaints on this guy already.

He is overly aggressive and overly zealous. Asks many personal questions like "How much do you weigh?" He works for Fish And Wildlife which is part of the Department of The Interior. His name is Moore.

Sanibel Island Farmers Market

We went to this place this morning. Very nice. We went last Sunday also.
And we went the first time in January of 2012. One of the most pleasant
farmer's markets we have been to. However there are more prepared food
vendors than farmers at the market but that is true at most farmer's markets these days.

West Wind On Sanibel Island Florida

http://www.westwindinn.com/
This place is often bugged by no see ums.

We are staying here now. I found out the former night desk man has died. I used to talk to him each morning from 6am to 7am until the day shift people came on duty. His name was Bob. He worked that night shift for 20 years. He and his wife were from Mass. He moved to Ft.Myers 25 years ago. He told me he and his wife would take cheap week long crusies from Ft. Lauderdale. They liked to dance.
