That is Rocky Colavito. He hit a home run in the first inning of this game.

Click on the above to read about this game. I was there. I remember it clearly because in the first inning Rocky Colavito hit a long just barely foul ball down the left field line. On the next pitch he hit a long home run to left field.
Note the attendance was over 50,000 and the game took only 2 hours and 2 minutes.
Now games take three and four hours because of tv commericials and endless pitching changes.
Also note Maris hit two home runs that day. He was on his way to 61 that year. No steroids needed thank you.
