John Childress and I ate at Ma Twilley's often. In the 1960s it was 1.00 for the best southern food you ever ate in your life.
We ate so much one time she charged us an extra quarter, That is 25 cents. Making it $1.25.

A stocky Miss. Highway Patrolman was eating at the same table with us. He said to me,
"Son pass me that plate of sliced tomatoes".

Ma Twilley walked with a gold  knob handled cane.
She was said to be the oldest living descendent of Jefferson Davis.
